If you haven't noticed the title today is Do it Afraid!!! And this blog post is nothing more than a testament to that sentiment. This blog, my business, and the ideas to come in Phase II are all a direct result of me doing it afraid. Positively irrevocably AFRAID. I have been sitting on my business idea and blog in several different forms for about 7- 10 years and there have always been excuses after excuses that have kept me from moving forward. But they all boiled down to FEAR. Fear that I was not good enough or knowledgeable enough. Fear that I did not have enough time to devote to it. Fear that people would not value my product or ideas. Fear that I would fall flat on my face and make a mess of things. I have always operated on a case by case bases just doing side projects for friends, telling myself 'this is enough for me" or that 'I don't need more'. But that was nothing but FEAR talking.

At the end of the day it took me loosing my job and then sitting on my hands for about two months to get me to even take a chance, a leap at things, a gamble to try to even launch. Which brings me to today Launch Day of my new business New Leaf Consulting and Post 1 of my new blog: Leaflet. So on that note take a look below at our Do it Afraid Step by Step Guide....
"Everything you want is on the other side of fear."

Do it Afraid Step by Step Guide
1. Write it down.
The first step is always to write it down. Write everything down. Do mind maps,

brainstorming webs, running lists, story boards, dream boards anything you need to do to write your vision out. You want to make it plain in black in white writing down every dream thought or passing idea associated with it. Even if it does not make sense right now it may be pivotal to you in five or six years down that line. So WRITE IT DOWN!!! So you will know where you want to go.
2. Plan it Out
Plan out how you are going to get there. Write a business plan or hire someone else, like me ;) to do it. Research what you do not know. Write out your timeline and organize your notes, and make a plan of attach for all of your goals. Then make sure that your goals are SMART Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
3. Test Run.
Set up a trial run. It is OK to test out your idea, plan or business out on someone else. Test it to a small market or maybe just on your closest family and friends. As long as they will give honest relevant and constructive criticism you can use them as your sounding board. Then take those notes revamp correct update and improve as needed.
4. Launch
Put it out there. Go full throttle, Make sure your marketing and social media are on point. Make sure you are administratively keeping up with your schedule. And keep pushing forward.
5. Rinse and Repeat
You have done it! You did it afraid! And now it is time to keep evolving. Keep learning and educating yourself. Stay up to date on the best social media and marketing tactics. Constantly reassess what you are doing and why and know when it is time for a change. Also get help. Talk to experts who know more than you do.
